The 2023 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought ceremony took place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 12 December.
This year's Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought has been awarded to Gina Masha Amini and the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, a tribute to all the brave and fighting women, men and young people in Iran who, despite being subjected to increasingly -great pressure, they continue to fight for their rights and insist on change.
